Swimming - The Schroon Lake Area has several manicured public beaches, and park areas with breathtaking spectacular mountain views. Our town provides lifeguards at our town beach during the summer season. There are also numerous swimming areas on the Schroon River and interior lakes. Boating - Our nine-mile lake hosts two free public boat launches, and a very well equipped local marina. Hiking - The Adirondack high peaks trails with their numerous trail-heads are nearby. There are also more than 50,000 acres of Forever Wild Forest areas contiguous to our Inn. Fishing - The Schroon Lake is stocked with Lake Trout, Bass and other fresh water fish. There are also numerous small lakes and streams nearby for the serious angler. Several fishing contests are held each year. |

Golf - There are seven golf courses within a short driving distance, in addition to the well cared for Schroon Lake Municipal Golf Course. Snow Skiing and Snow Boarding - Whiteface Mountain, Gore Mountain and many other downhill ski areas, attract year round visitors, as do the many cross-country ski areas. Tennis - Schroon Lake offers seven, very well maintained, free municipal tennis courts. Foliage - Our fall foliage offers truly spectacular color displays of nature. The outstanding beauty of our area has been documented in many national periodicals. Antiques - There are many shops in our area. We will gladly provide our guests with a listing of our local antique dealers. |

Directions: From Boston: Take Route 90W to I-87 Northway. Take Exit 28. Turn right at the end of the ramp 2/10 mile to flashing red light and Route 9. Left onto Route 9 North. The Inn is exactly 1.8 miles on your left. From Montreal: I-87 Northway (South) to Exit 28. Left at the end of the ramp and then 2/10 mile to flashing red light and Route 9. Turn left onto Route 9 North. The Inn is exactly 1.8 miles on your left.
