Customer Kudos from Trip Advisor

We couldn’t believe our good fortune at finding this place. Lovely, low key hosts, a good location and great value. We have stayed at a few b & b places with mixed results, but as my husband commented, this was our best b&b experience yet.

While looking for real estate in the Schroon Lake area, I came across an unoccupied beautiful home at the Schroon Falls. I fell in love with the potential of the home and the setting of the property. In 1981 my late husband Clifford, and I purchased and moved to the Silver Spruce. We spent the next five years carefully restoring and updating this historic building. In 1990 we began taking guests at the Silver Spruce Inn. It has been a joy for our family to enjoy the Silver Spruce and the beautiful Adirondacks for almost 40 years.

By 2008, my late husband’s health had deteriorated to the point that we made the decision to close for the winter months. We spent the cold months in a warmer climate returning in May to again enjoy the guests and the Silver Spruce. In April of 2012 my husband Clifford died.

I am now in my 81st year of life and have spent almost 40 years here at the Silver Spruce. I would love to pass the opportunity on to someone who will love the property and guests as much as I have. The Inn is priced fairly at less than $100 per sq foot, which includes the furnishings and equipment, the Carriage House and 12 acres. The Silver Spruce also comes with a great reputation.
